I don’t know about y’all, but when I’m in the mood for some good ol’ roasted chicken, I want it crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with flavor. Lucky for me (and for you too, honey), I’ve found not one, but five different recipes for crispy roasted chicken pieces that’ll have you drooling before you even get started.
This first recipe from “Give Recipe” is just about as simple as it gets:
Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces (drumsticks or thighs)
- Olive oil
- Paprika
- Salt
- Black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place chicken pieces on a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil on both sides. Rub the oil evenly over the entire surface of the chicken.
- Mix paprika, salt, and black pepper together and sprinkle over the chicken pieces.

Next up is another crispy roasted chicken recipe from “Lurpak”:
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg chicken pieces (drumsticks, thighs, or a mix of both)
- 2 tbsp Lurpak/unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place chicken pieces on a baking dish.
- Melt the Lurpak/unsalted butter in a small pan over low heat. Mix in the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Drizzle the mixture over the chicken pieces, using your hands to make sure it’s evenly distributed and rubbed in to the skin.
- Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
This third recipe from “Give Recipe” is another simple, no-fuss way to make delicious crispy roasted chicken pieces:
Ingredients:
- 8 chicken pieces (drumsticks or thighs)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 shallots (sliced)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Place chicken pieces on a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, sliced shallots, olive oil, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Spread the mixture over the chicken pieces, making sure everything is well coated.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy.
If you’re in the mood for a little bit of Italian flavor, try this recipe for Chicken Milanese Bites from “Jo Cooks”:
Ingredients:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- Olive oil (for frying)
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
- In a shallow dish, mix together flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dried basil, dried rosemary, dried thyme, and black pepper.
- In another shallow dish, whisk together eggs and water.
- In a third shallow dish, spread out the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge the chicken pieces in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat in the breadcrumbs.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken pieces for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve with lemon wedges.
