Asparagus and beef stir fry is the perfect dish to whip up on a busy weeknight. It’s quick, easy, and absolutely delicious. Plus, it’s a great way to sneak in some veggies into your diet.
To make this dish, you’ll need the following ingredients:
– 1 pound flank steak, sliced thin
– 1 bunch asparagus, tough ends removed and cut into pieces
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tablespoon soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon cornstarch
– 1/4 cup chicken broth
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– Salt and pepper, to taste
To start, heat the oil in a large wok or skillet over high heat. Add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds, or until fragrant. Then, add the beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes or until it’s browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the wok and set it aside.
In the same wok, add the asparagus and stir-fry for about 2 minutes. Then, add the chicken broth and cover the wok with a lid. Let the asparagus cook for 2-3 minutes, or until it’s tender.
While the asparagus is cooking, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and cornstarch together in a small bowl.
Once the asparagus is done, remove the lid and add the beef back into the wok. Pour the sauce over everything and stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and coated everything.
